Even Enemies...

"Jesus turns man's morality on its head and essentially says, "In the kingdom of God we are to love our enemies as well as our neighbors." (p. 149, I Never Thought I'd See the Day!, Dr. David Jeremiah) He goes on to say, "When it comes to love, a truly moral and ethical person has no enemies." (ibid)

Good reminder, we are not only called to love our neighbors, and those we like or love, but even those we don't love, we don't like, and we don't even agree with.

How We're Created

Mother Teresa reminds us, "We all have been created in the image of God -to love and to be loved."

It's really that simple. You were created to love and be loved.
Don't make it complicated. Don't see it as difficult.
It's a simple task, if we chose to accept it.
If we do, it's the greatest joy there is.

Mission: LOVE

With a new release version of Mission Impossible, a preacher reminded me our mission is to LOVE. So, today your mission, should you decide to accept it is LOVE. It's our mission everyday. It's unchanging and new everyday. I hope you and I both accept our impossible mission which is only possible because He loves us and works in us.

First Things First

Mother Teresa also said: "If we really want to love, we must learn to forgive before anything else."

What a teacher. What a lesson.
To love, we must learn to forgive.
So, if you want to love, first learn to forgive.
That reminds me of Matthew 6:33 (my life verse), "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
We must learn to do first things first.

Forgiving is Love, Forgetting takes humility

My neighbor said, "To forgive is love, to forget is humility."
I thought this was quiet profound. She said it came from a Mother Teresa quote.
So, here's the quote:

"Jesus taught us how to forgive out of love, how to forget out of humility...
Is my love for others so great, so real as to forgive, not out of duty but out of love?"

I think my neighbor said it pretty well.
It's an amazing thing to ponder forgiving as love, and forgiving as an act, or statement of humility.

Andrea Bocelli.."More"

Who better to sing of loving more than Andrea Bocelli.
Love More...

God Sees and Will Not Forget Your Labors of Love

Hebrews 6:10 tells us that "God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love..."
So be reminded: God sees, God is just, God doesn't forget.
Be encouraged in your labors of love.
Hebrews 6:12 encourages us to "not become sluggish"... and to have patience.
Hebrews 6:18 tells us this to encourage us in our works of love for "the hope set before us."
Because God sees and God is just, He will reward us for the works of eternal consequence: love.
