Love is the fulfillment of the Law

Romans 13:10 concludes with ..."love is the fulfillment of the law." I started contemplating what the law was and represents. Can we agree that the law represents what we should do to be "good people" or people in right standing with God. If there is a law giver, and that law giver is God, He knows what is good for us. He knows how we should act. He knows what will make us happier. He knows how we can better live with each other. Laws keep our societies running smoothly for all people. They tell us we can't kill each other, or steal their stuff, or drive that fast around that corner. It tells us when to stop at red lights, so others can go through without interference. It all works when we all abide. So, I now I read that love is the fulfillment of what is good for me and other people. Love is the fulfillment of what is right. A fresh new way to look at "love is the fulfillment of the law."
